Welcome to the Marathon Walking Robot Project at Cornell University. The goal is to create an autonomous robot capable of setting a machine walking long distance record on the order of kilometers. It is hoped that setting such a record will encourage other groups to develop the capabilities of walking machines. As the technology improves, practical applications will present themselves.
