Dear math 293: 12/4/96 ELECTRONIC COURSE SURVEY UPDATE: You can be the first at Cornell! 1) You can fill out a course evaluation for math 293 electronically. The secret Math 293 password is math293eval. ^^^^^^^^^^^ You can get to the evaluation form by the following WWW address: http://bushwhack.tn.cornell.edu/ceval/ OR the regular 293 home page ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ http://tam.cornell.edu/faculty/ruina/www_293/home.html ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ 2) We will know, after the final exam, who filled out forms, but no-one can possibly ever know who filled out WHICH form. Trust in this anonymity is an important part of the electronic evaluation process. Read more about this in the introductory comments when you look at the form. 3) You have until midnight on the day of the final exam to fill out a form. Just one per customer. Fill it out when it is most convenient for you. We, the course staff, will not see the results until after we have turned in grades. So requests for THIS semester should go by another route. 4) The form is NOT mandatory in math 293 (It is mandatory in my other class, TAM 203). In future implementations I hope it becomes engineering policy that completion of such a form is mandatory. But now, in this class, it is optional. We would like a high participation level, however. We want to know EVERYONE's opinions. People who loved the class. And people who think they are so far out of it that we wouldn't want to know what they think. We do. We will look over the information that you provide carefully. 5) Thanks for your participation. The form includes a space for you to comment on electronic evaluation in general.
